Westcon was proud to be a Platinum Sponsor of the Infoblox EMEA Partner Summit in Vienna, where our team and partners heard first-hand about the vendor’s commitment to the channel and its long-term strategy. Here Judith Eijkelboom, EMEA Vendor Manager, shares the key takeaways.

More than 100 Infoblox partners from across EMEA came together in Vienna in early February under the motto ‘Ignite Next Level Partnership’.

During the summit, Infoblox’s most successful partners were recognised at an awards ceremony at the Albertina museum, with Westcon named Northern Europe Distributor 2019 for the part we play in the vendor’s continued growth and success.

In addition to presentations from the Infoblox Channel Partner team, we heard from CEO, Jesper Andersen, about the vendor’s plans for the future and recent industry recognition, including being named one of the Top 10 Security Companies to Watch in 2020 by Forbes and one of the Top 25 Cybersecurity Companies of 2019 by The Software Report.

It was an engaging and positive summit, with Infoblox expressing their ongoing commitment to distribution and channel partners. Here are some key takeaways.

The Infoblox vision

Today’s network demands are applications and agility; flexible and scalable infrastructure, and the need to rethink security. In recognition of this, the Infoblox vision is a ‘next level’ network experience, with a mission of the relentless pursuit of SIMPLE.

The vendor is well positioned in today’s changing market, moving from a traditional data centre-centric networking and security model to an edge-centric, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) model with requirements for hybrid deployment model, unified management platform, elastic scale and performance optimisation.

Technology roadmap

Digital transformation is driving network transformation, from cloud-first enterprise and software defined networks to BYOD, mobility and IoT. With BloxOne DDI and BloxOne Threat Defense, businesses can get both network management and security from the cloud in these times of digitisation.

As the network becomes increasingly complex, BloxOne DDI solves new challenges by operationalising SD-WAN and DIA, simplifying remote IT management and scaling DDI deployment. Regarding security, Blox One Threat Defense delivers visibility, automation, coverage and protection, reducing the cost of threat defence.
