Westcon-Comstor expands agreement with Ribbon Communications to Asia Pacific Region

We are expanding our APAC distribution agreement with Ribbon Communications, the global provider of real-time communications software and IP Optical networking solutions to service providers, enterprises, and critical infrastructure sectors. The new agreement covers the entire Asia Pacific region, particularly servicing multinational and regional enterprises with multi-country operations.

The expanded partnership into the Asia Pacific region will expand on their relationship in the Australia/New Zealand markets. The new regional agreement will target enterprises that have operations in multiple countries in the region and be managed by Ribbon’s Global Channels team. Partners will be able to benefit from ‘single order’ services, regardless of their equipment or cloud service requirements.

“We believe our expanded partnership with Westcon-Comstor will have a tremendous impact on our clients in the Asia Pacific region,” said Manny Christophidis, Ribbon Channel Director, Asia Pacific. “Many of our global and regional clients need a single view of their operations and have been asking us to focus on decreasing complexly for them, regardless of where we are working together. With the significant momentum of our cloud product suites such as Ribbon Connect, our partnership with Westcon-Comstor will make deployment of cloud services and on-premises equipment faster, more cost-effective and efficient.  Westcon-Comstor has an excellent reputation for service excellence and we are looking forward to expanding together in the region.”

“Westcon-Comstor has enjoyed a strong relationship with Ribbon for many years, primarily in North America and Europe. We’re looking forward to a significant expansion of our partnership into the Asia Pacific region. Given Ribbon’s leadership in the SBC market, rapid movement towards cloud delivery of services, and rapid adoption of UCaaS services like Microsoft Teams, the timing is ideal to expand our partnership to meet customer demand,” said  Patrick Aronson, Executive Vice President, APAC at Westcon-Comstor.

The new partnership will provide regional services including:

  • Single order for multiple countries
  • ‘Touchless’ importation across multiple countries
  • Tax management in multiple jurisdictions
  • 24/7 parts replacement
  • Expedited multi-country delivery
  • Same-day delivery and deployment for cloud-based services

The following countries will have the full complement of Ribbon and Westcon-Comstor services: Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Philippines, PRC, Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea, Japan and Vietnam.
